Noel + Zane's Hawaiian Wedding
When I think of a Hawaiian wedding, I think sandy beaches, lei’s, fire dancers and tropical weather. Lucky for Noel + Zane, they got this and whole lot more! Surrounded by forty of their closest family and friends on a gorgeous private estate, these two got to commit their lives to one another in a traditional Hawaiian ceremony. Conch shell and all. And I got to play coordinator and guest (Zane’s my cousin), one thing that just brings pure joy to my heart.
We embraced the rain in the forecast and followed through with Noel’s wishes to see her guests dancing in the rain. The skies opened up to let some sunshine through for the entire ceremony, a true blessing! At dinner, the skies poured down on us and joy + laughter was all that could be heard. Somehow the rain brought us all closer and made the dance floor that much sweeter!
Surprise fire dancers entertained the group. I’d be lying if I said the fire dancer’s crazy eyes and ability to swipe fire across his tongue, didn’t scare me. It was a spectacle I will never forget! And the sweetest touch of it all? The heart shaped lantern Noel + Zane released in the sky.
It was truly one of my favorite weddings ever to coordinate. I wish my cousins the happiest of marriages! May we all go back and celebrate your special day, with Mai Tai’s in hand!
