Amy + Tyler's Portland Engagement Session- Featured in Oregon Bride!
It’s no secret I absolutely love to travel. So when Elyse of Plum & Oak Photo and I decided to make a spur of the moment trip to the beaver state, I didn’t think twice. Ticket bought.
Prior to our trip, we connected with Amy + Tyler and completely fell head over heels in love with their engagement story. As Amy put it, “Tyler planned a wonderful weekend to Hood River last summer and found an amazing sunset hike for us to do. It is not unusual for us to go on hiking adventures so I thought nothing of it. We had a wonderful day visiting breweries and walking along the river that weekend before heading out on the gorgeous gorge hike. There was no one else on the hike that day - something very unusual for the Columbia River Gorge on a Saturday in the summer. At the peak of the hike he recapped our love story from the beginning going through all the highs and lows, or "peaks and valleys" as we call them - something we have always done. He proposed at the top of the hike with views of Mt. St. Helens and Adams in the distance and wildflowers blooming throughout the valley. It was perfect, romantic, and just us. I would not have wanted it any other way.” We knew this couple was special, and the perfect e-sesh was a must.
Lucky for us, we got to wander the streets of Portland with Amy + Tyler and do the most rad things ever. We took over the long sectional couch at the Ace Hotel, sipped some coffee at Stumptown, talked our way into the super exclusive Multnomah Whisky Library and walked aimlessly down the sidewalks of this quirky town. It was perfect.
Boarding the plane home was bittersweet. There is something so funky and special about Oregon, it’s contagious. And you can definitely sign me up to “Keep Portland Weird!” I guess another trip up north is in store! My bags are packed. I'm ready!
