Indian Meets the Beach- Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!
I distinctly remember the day I had lunch with my good friend + Catering Manager at the Hilton Mission Valley, Morgan Wessells, and my beloved partner in crime, Elyse of Plum & Oak Photo. We drank wine, and ate, brainstormed, and drank some more wine. That’s really when our creative minds got to work dreaming up one of the most unique set-ups I’ve done to date. It was over wine that we decided to take on a challenge- mix Indian boho vibes with a beachy feel. The masterpiece we dreamt up came to life with San Diego’s best vendors. My heart still swoons.
We brought the All-American guy together with the most stunning Indian bride covered in henna. I had my sites set on working with Pow Wow and boy was I a giddy soul the day I got to roam their warehouse. It was heaven. The florals were OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. The Dainty Lion really outdid herself on this one folks! The biggest challenge of the day came in setting up the chairs at the ceremony site in a half circle. Don’t give the girl with OCD and perfectionist-syndrome that job. Lesson learned. My favorite part though was the table scape. I remember every weird look I got when I explained my vision and squealed in excited for the elephant plates. I wouldn’t have done it any other way. The hints of fun in a classic white setting was pure dreaminess.
