Whenever I have a bride come to me with ideas that are so out of the norm, a little piece of me inside just gets so dang giddy. That happened with Courtney. When she told me she wanted a black tent + a moody color palette, I didn’t hesitate for one second. So rad!

Courtney + Charles just oozed “cool.” They had the cutest dog that accompanied them on every meeting and were the most thoughtful and generous people I have ever met. Their wedding took place at a private estate in San Diego and it was definitely one that I will never forget. Courtney’s style mixed with the location of the estate, was pure magic.

The florals were full of moody colors, on farm tables filled with hints of light draping and candles. All of this sat under a beautiful black tent, letting the stars shine through at night. A band played music + the guests danced the night away! It was perfect.

I also had to run to In-N-Out to get some late night burgers (one thing I’ll never complain about!), so their guests could enjoy a true CA burger. Something about it turning 10pm at night just makes me crave a good In-N-Out burger! haha

Courtney + Charles, you two are perfect together. Thank you for letting me be apart of your day + for showing that beauty doesn’t always have to be light/airy/bridal-y. (Is that a word?)
