There is just something about Christmas that literally puts a smile on my face the day after Thanksgiving and doesn’t leave until January 1st, when our tree officially retires for the year. Being around family is the best thing ever and playing out traditions makes me a happy gal. This Christmas is going to be a little different though. This Christmas is going to be missing my carefree and sweet sister Carli. Because we’re in a season in life where family is created, multiplied and expanded into something much greater. This year Carli is spending Christmas with her new hubby, and although I’ll miss running down the stairs with her in our matching pajama’s, and opening our stockings to find donuts, I know this is life. Life that’s always changing. And changing to make all our lives a little bit brighter.

I am just so happy that my sister was able to find the person she will spend the rest of her life with. Someone who she will now share holidays with and spread the family traditions with. I thought it was only fitting to reminisce on their beautiful wedding day at Wiens Family Cellars.

I’ll miss fighting over the monkey bread, Carli. Merry Christmas!
