Meet Shelly- my sweet, hard working and amazing assistant! She's been with me since January, but I honestly don't know how I functioned without her prior to that. She keeps me sane, makes me laugh, does anything I ask her with a smile on her face and has conquered this crazy world of weddings so quick! She sees nothing wrong with getting a little work done and enjoying life in the process. So when I suggest spa day, chatting wedding details over a glass of sangria or frolicking through the orchards for some pictures, she's there. I know you will all love her! xo Kelsey

A little note from Shelly:

Hi Everyone! My name’s Shelly and I am lucky enough to be Kelsey’s (sort of) new assistant! Here’s a little bit about me to get to know who I really am as I get to know you all as well! I am 21 years old and am currently attending San Diego State University as a meetings and events major. Working with Kelsey is like a dream for me! I absolutely love weddings and am a hopeless romantic myself. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been hooked on being apart of that wedding day bliss and seeing the bride and groom up on cloud nine! I recently began dabbling in photography and started my own business shooting lifestyle photos ranging from families, seniors, couples, and my favorite tiny tikes! I hope to get into weddings as my career develops and working with Kelsey is most definitely the first step! She is absolutely amazing and I am learning new things each and every day as well as becoming besties in the process ;). But seriously, she’s awesome and I cannot wait to work with her this year to make all your wedding day dreams come true!

What’s your favorite part of a wedding?

I absolutely swooooon over first looks! Some couples want it to be just them for their reveal so it makes me feel like a little kid on christmas with a stomach full of butterflies when I do get to witness them seeing each other for the first time! After the first look, definitely comes the desserts because who doesn’t love sweets?

What’s your favorite kind of donut? (because we have to know that)

If I have to pick just one, I would say any of the ones with chocolate frosting. Braided, round, sprinkled, Oreo crumbed, literally anything with chocolate frosting and you have my heart.

If you were on a deserted island what three things would you bring?

My MacBook stocked with all of the Friends + Grey’s series and romance movies, endless amounts of Panera Mac + Cheese, and a case of Orange Muscat. Sorry, I'm totally that person that can't play this game right and cheats with my wording!
